You may have noticed that I wasn't around last week, the reason being that we took Walter home to New Zealand so he could be buried on his family Marae in a truly beautiful spot at a place called Mangapehi.
I am going to miss his warm smile, his boundless enthusiasm, and the enormous passion he had for his culture and the history of our world more than you could know.
Rest in Peace Walter.
