..were a Peruvian garage rock band that has come to be considered one of the most original and influential Latin American bands of the 1960s.

I totally did not just copy the above from Wikipedia, it is straight from my extensive knowledge of Latin-American music and I knew about Los Saicos long before 'Anonymous Cunt' recommended them in a comment on my last music post about The Black Lips.
