Audio books are kind of good sometimes. As background noise in a shop, an aural companion for a rainy day on the couch, or in a waiting room at the hospital while you wait for your ex-girlfriend to come out of having a cystectomy, they can all be enjoyable.

I've only got a couple – one being Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything, narrated by the man himself, which I think should be required listening for every human being on the planet – and I just added another to my sparse library with Anthony Burgess' A Clockwork Orange.

Worth mentioning, is that this audio book is the full version of ACO as Burgess intended it, with all 21 parts intact. Unlike the American version of the book which excluded the final chapter.
