Jay Deelicious
I just found out about this album via Jimmy who has in the past alerted me to some good tunes, so I must therefore conclude that his taste in music is impeccable.
It's actually a 2-disc album, but like Dilla's Ruff Draft, the second disc is just instrumentals so I haven't included it. If you're a fucking sick DJ or something and want disc 2 let me know and I'll find it for you.

Here's a weird one...
Dion McGregor was a New York City-born songwriter, whose main claim to fame is that he was a voluble dreamer, or somniloquist.
No, I didn't know what a somniloquist was either.
Somniloquy or sleep-talking is a parasomnia that refers to talking aloud while sleep. It can be quite loud, ranging from simple sounds to long speeches, and can occur many times during sleep. Listeners may or may not be able to understand what the person is saying.
Anyway, Dion McGregor was semi-famous in the 60's for being a particularly good somniloquist. He would very clearly and loudly speak out his dreams, which were then recorded. Decca Records released an album of his dreams in the 60's but they were too scared to put any of the juicy stuff on, but then in 1999 and 2004 respectively, albums were released with previously unheard, and occasionally x-rated dreams.
They're pretty interesting to listen to. And he sounds wonderfully old-fashioned, even if he is talking about a cunt-lapping contest.

Benjamin Béchet...
...produced a series of images depicting superheroes & pop-culture icons posed as illegal immigrants, the homeless, marginal figures etc, etc. Not sure of the rationale, but they look cool. And that's all that matters, really.
